Under any other production it might have been just the regular vendeta cliche, but with the background of a nordic poem, and with the right woman as the witch, this turns out to be a true delight. Heroes are every where to be found when the plot starts, and are no where to be seen as the inevitable end comes. Oh, and let us not forget the christian point of view, you got to love the christian way. The king crumbles, the heroes fade, all that is left is the myth, built on ashes and bones. But that’s our favorite kind of myth, isn’t it? Salvation bathed in blood, that does not mean a thing. To be saved is just another way of moving on, and at the end, it makes no difference if you were saved or not. Time will move on, and the tale will be told (to the world) again - that’s the only thing that one can really trust.

A while ago a friend called Tim went to see the movie Big Fish. At times you see movies and a feeling of change overcomes you as the movie progresses. This was such a movie for Tim. This feeling often takes over you, but rarely remains there after the movie ends. This one was of these rare moments, and Tim changes his life completely. He became a story teller. He life were paved with stories, all exaggeration of reality, all wonderful and magical. There is a lot of magic in stories, and this magic translates into happiness in the hearer, and Tim realized that and went through life telling stories. There were magical stories, and there just mere anecdotes. There fairy tales with happy endings and tragedies with a catharsis. A good story, despite a happy end or a tragic one, makes you happy. One of Tim’s stories was about a man going through life telling stories, a travelling sales man that ends up turning into a giant fish. One day Time decided to create this story into a movie, and he named the movie Big Fish.
