There’s true beauty in the playfulness of feminine erotic art of the first half of the 20th century. The era between the World Wars saw some horrible events and ended up with a huge bang and another catastrophe, but for art it was an amazing age. With the sexual revolution in full speed and women gaining more rights, women artists took control of what should have been theirs all along - their own erotic nature. I will discuss here some day about the wonderful Czech Toyen, but this time I wish to point out a bit north to the Danish Gerda Wegener and her wonderful playful art. To marvel, enjoy and practice at home.
