Inner Nature of a String: Githead6 strings. By six string the world is hung over the abyss. String one - for music, the others too. The most distinct movement of what is called popular music is the strumming of the the strings, mostly six. People tried to move differently throughout the year, but none managed to over come this basic principal of modern music - the strum.
Is this all? Is that our music? Our so beloved treasure? Is it all based on a single gesture. Life losses its meaning, the blood runs out of cheeks, we turn pale. Music is nothing but a strum, and what can we actually say about a strum, it’s not unique, it’s primitive, not much can be done with. Morbidity takes over us, the stereo has been turned off and started to gather dust. Even our previous non-iPod is stuck deep inside our drawer gathering layers upon layers of things upon it.
But wait, just listen to Githead. A strum is not just a strum, a guitar is and endless universe, and once you bring drums, organs and tons of other instruments, you have a ship to travel the space of music. The strum doesn’t have to be new, its uniqueness comes from its inner nature. Githead convinced me that this nature exists by reviving the past, but with a twist.
