Surrealism doesn’t have to be so nightmarish, however it definitely can be. Le Chien Andalou (The Andalusian Dog) is a short experimental film by Salvador Dali and Luis Bunuel, and if nightmares were silent and black and white this how they would have looked like. Thinking about it again, sometime they are silent and in black and white.
